Eva And Chloe Silk Top Wig
$700.00
One of a kind — this is the only one.
Your guarantee on this piece
The 10-day money-back guarantee stays in effect on this piece.
The six months of basic repairs is not valid on Fortune Pre-Owned, and the free first wash and set is not valid on Fortune Pre-Owned. Both are excluded because these pieces are already used.
Two things end the guarantee, and only two: alterations were made, or the piece is disqualified under the terms and conditions of our return policy. Within the first ten days we can rework a piece — but a piece we rework cannot be refunded.
How this piece reached you
Every Fortune Pre-Owned piece comes to us from a customer and is evaluated by a Fortune stylist before it is listed — condition, cap, colour, length and fit, all recorded by hand.
It is cleaned and processed in our salon, then photographed. The photographs on this page are of this piece, after that work.
Consign a piece of your own
A Fortune piece can be sold on when you are finished with it. You send it in, a stylist evaluates it and proposes a price, and once you approve the price and the $60 cleaning and processing fee, we list it and market it for up to 90 days.
When it sells, you receive 40% in cash or 80% in store credit — the same either way, whether it sells online or in the salon.
What our stylist found
Gently used Eva and Chloe silk top wig. Cap size Medium. Hair length 18". Hair color medium to dark brown. One length all around. Velvet sewn in front for comfort
From Esther
It had a life before this page.
In the salon I am asked, more often than you would think, whether a wig that has been worn is a lesser wig. It is not. Hair this good outlives the reason it was bought — a colour changes, a length changes, a life changes, and the piece is still beautiful.
So it comes back to us. One of our stylists goes through it before it is ever listed and writes down what she finds, then it is cleaned in our salon and photographed. The photographs above are of this piece, after that work — not of another one like it.
Take your time with it, and ask us anything before you decide. We're not happy till you are.
Buying pre-owned from Fortune
One piece, one unit. Every listing in Fortune Pre-Owned is a single physical piece that belonged to someone before you. There is no second one in another colour or another length — what is on this page is what exists. When it sells, the listing closes.
Inspected in our own salon. Each piece is evaluated by a Fortune stylist before it is listed: the cap, the knots, the density, the condition of the ends. What we find is written into the description and the facts panel on this page rather than smoothed over. If a piece has wear, we say where.
Cleaned and processed before it is photographed. Pieces are cleaned and processed in the salon, then photographed, so the images you are looking at show the piece as it is now.
Priced against what it is. A pre-owned price reflects the piece's brand, construction, length and condition — not a discount off a piece you are not buying.
Washing. Every eight to ten wears is plenty for most people; more often than that shortens the life of the hair. Use a sulphate-free shampoo, work it through the hair rather than scrubbing the cap, and condition the mid-lengths and ends only — never the roots, which loosens the knots.
Drying and heat. Blot with a towel, never wring. Air-dry on a stand wherever you can. When you do use heat, keep it moderate and always use a protectant: hair on a piece cannot repair itself the way growing hair does, so heat damage is permanent.
Brushing. Start at the ends and work upward with a loop or soft-bristle brush, holding the hair above where you are brushing so you are not pulling at the knots.
Storage and sleep. Store on a stand or in its box so the cap keeps its shape — never folded in a drawer. Do not sleep in it if you can avoid it; if you must, loosely braid it first.
When to bring it in. If the part starts to widen, the hair feels dry at the ends no matter what you do, or the cap has loosened, that is the moment to call us rather than wait. Most of what we see is easy to correct early and expensive to correct late.
Is this really the only one? Yes. Pre-Owned pieces are single units. There is no restock and no second size — the piece on this page is the piece.
What is it made of, and who made it? Whatever we could establish is in the facts panel and the description on this page. We list the brand when the brand is known and say so when it is not, rather than guess.
Can I return it? Yes — the 10-day money-back guarantee stays in effect on Fortune Pre-Owned. Two things end it, and only two: alterations were made, or the piece is disqualified under the terms and conditions of our return policy. Within the first ten days we can rework a piece, but a piece we rework cannot be refunded.
Does it come with the six months of basic repairs? No. The six months of basic repairs is not valid on Fortune Pre-Owned, because these pieces are already used.
Does it come with the free first wash and set? No. The free first wash and set is not valid on Fortune Pre-Owned, for the same reason.
Can you cut and style it for me? We can, and we confirm every detail with you in writing before any work begins — cutting cannot be undone. Understand what it costs you: once service is performed on a piece it is no longer refundable, so styling work ends the 10-day guarantee on this piece.
Can I sell it on later? Yes. A Fortune piece can be consigned back to us when you are finished with it — the terms are in the buy panel above.
